Search de-indexing

Reduce the visibility of confirmed URLs in search engines.

Official documentationVerified · 4 September 2026

Objective

De-indexing aims to reduce the visibility of a URL in search results. It does not remove content from its source and does not replace a notice to the site or its host.

URL collection

Results may be collected on demand and added to an operational queue. The team checks the required data and uses the appropriate Google procedure. The portal keeps recorded batches, dates, and volumes.

Tracking

A submission may be marked as prepared, sent, or processed according to available evidence. The search engine controls the final outcome and timing. CRD does not guarantee a fixed delay and does not present a submission as confirmed de-indexing.
